Good to know: you can change your name on your passport, driving licence and every other record for free (apart from the normal passport fee) directly with the government and each organisation. We're an independent private company, not part of or linked to the government. You pay us for help, not for the right to change your name. Do it yourself for free

Change My Name UK Launching spring 2027

Getting married? Change your name once, and get it right.

We prepare your passport and DVLA paperwork, check your honeymoon passport timing, and give you a personal checklist for every bank, employer and account that needs your new name. You stay in control: you check, sign and send everything yourself.

The bit nobody tells you about

The honeymoon passport trap

Your tickets must match your passport. Book in the wrong name, or send your passport off at the wrong time, and you could be stuck at the airport. We help you pick the right route before the big day.

25 to 40 places to tell

Passport, DVLA, HMRC, your GP, the electoral register, banks, cards, pension, insurance, employer, energy, mobile and more. We build your list and the letters, in the right order.

Forms filled for you

Upload your marriage or civil partnership certificate and current ID. We prepare the paperwork and a real person checks it before you send anything.

One simple plan

Made for engaged couples who want the name change sorted without the admin headache. Book a few months before the wedding and we'll walk you through it step by step.

Prices include VAT where it applies. Government fees, such as the passport fee, are paid by you directly to the government and never go through us.

  • Your employer and payroll
  • Banks, cards, pensions and insurance
  • Energy, water, council tax, TV Licence, mobile, airlines and loyalty schemes

Each one comes with the method (app, online, phone or letter), the documents they ask for, and a filled-in letter where one is accepted.

You don't need us to change your name. Everything we help with can be done directly, using your marriage or civil partnership certificate:

What we add is the time saved, the honeymoon passport check, a human review and one list that tracks every organisation until you're done.

Questions

Are you part of the government?

No. We're an independent private company. We have no link to HM Passport Office, DVLA, HMRC or any government body, and using us doesn't speed up any government process.

Do I need a deed poll?

Usually not. Taking your spouse's surname, or joining both with a hyphen, normally only needs your marriage or civil partnership certificate. A deed poll is needed for things like a new combined surname or changing a first name. We'll tell you which applies to you.

Do you send things to the government for me?

No. We prepare your paperwork and your plan. You check, sign and send everything yourself, so you're always in control.

Is this only for brides?

Not at all. It's for anyone changing their name after a marriage or civil partnership, including double-barrelled names and partners who both change.

Do you use AI?

Yes. AI helps fill in the forms and build your checklist, and a person reviews every packet before it goes to you.

Can you help with visas or immigration?

No. We don't give legal or immigration advice. If your name change affects a visa or eVisa, please speak to a regulated immigration adviser.
